Top Movies of 2020

Best film remakes and sequels in 2020

The quarantine has opened my eyes to a lot of new exciting movies. For those who are still

not sure about what new business idea to implement or what else to do around the house,

here’s a review list of some of my favorite remakes and sequels that have come out in 2020.

Dolittle (2020) – I don’t think there is any need to define the name DOLITTLE. We have grown up

watching the different film versions of the Doctor that can talk to animals, based on Hugh Lofting’s

children’s book. While Eddie Murphy’s role as Dr. Dolittle in 1998 took us through waves of laughter,

Robert Downey Jr., our very own IRON MAN and Sherlock Holmes, brings the Dolittle to life in his on magical way.

The invisible man  – The film by Universal Pictures, released in February 2020, is starred by Elizabeth Moss,

whose brilliant performance as the victim in a violent abusive relationship received positive reviews from critics.

The plot takes us back 20 years to the story of THE HOLLOW MAN, which was the 1st picturization based on

H. G. Wells’ novel The Invisible man. The plot focuses on a woman who is trapped in an abusive relationship

with a brilliant scientist. Even though she succeeds in getting away from him, he is found dead sometime later

and she realizes that she is being stalked by someone no one can find a trace of.  It Is safe to say that the

recent picturization is by far more enthralling, captivating and keeps you on your toes throughout the movie.

Bad boys for life – Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are once again back as the BAD BOYS we all love to watch.

The comedy and Action between the two best friends Mike and Marcus takes a new turn when they

have part ways in their old age as Marcus has retired but Mike wants revenge against his attackers who put

him in a coma. An interesting story unfolds from here and it’s a must watch for all faithful Bad Boys lovers.

EMMA – Emma is a comedy and romance drama based on Jane Austen’s novel of the same name.

The novel has been picturized twice before in 1996, with one adaptation starring Gwyneth Paltrow and

the other starring Kate Beckinsale. While Kate and Gwyneth adapt to Emma Woodhouse fabulously,

Anya Taylor Joy has portrayed Emma Woodhouse beautifully. The story is of a young woman,

Emma Woodhouse, who lives in Georgian era England and indulges herself with matchmaking –

in a sometimes erroneous, slightly arrogant and often meddlesome fashion- in the lives of her friends and family.
